This never worn sterling silver open heart buckle and belt exemplify this notion. The heart measures 2.5” across and 2.5” from the highest point of the heart to the point (measured right to left). The striling sliver piece weighs 1.25 ounces and with the stirling “button” for the belt the total weight is 1.375 ounces. The belt strap is made of supple black leather and meaures 45” in length and 3/4” wide. The belt has never been worn and comes with original box, dust bag and tags.
This piece could also be worn as a necklace, simply thread a cord through the back loop or around the heart and enjoy!
Elsa Peretti (1940-2021) began desiging for Tiffany in 1974, and her designs can be found in the permanent collections of Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the British Museum in London and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She won the Coty American Fashion Critics’ Award in 1971, as well as prizes from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1981 and the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1996.
